MEXICAN CHARMS

Day 1: BOGOTÁ - MEXICO CITY 

Arrival at Mexico City International Airport. During the transfer to the Hotel the guide will give indications about the tours. Check-in at the hotel (rooms will be delivered after 3:00 p.m.). Lodging.

Day 2: TOUR CD DE MEXICO - COYOACAN - XOCHIMILCO

After breakfast we will start the tour of the Historic Center of the "City of Palaces" as it was once called for its beautiful colonial buildings, you will visit: the Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, the National Palace with the famous murals of Diego Rivera (if the authorities allow it), the Metropolitan Cathedral and a panoramic view of the Templo Mayor Azteca (from the pre-Hispanic era) as well as the main avenues and monuments. We will continue the tour making a stop in the center of Coyoacan, located in the south of Mexico City, with perhaps the most pleasant atmosphere for its quiet streets and stately mansions. Then we continue to the ancient canals of Xochimilco, a world cultural heritage site, where we will embark a typical trajinera (boat) decorated with bright colors and appreciate the chinampas (islets with flower and vegetable crops). On the way back we will pass by the University City (UNAM) to admire the murals of Juan O'Gorman, the Olympic Stadium Mexico 68, the National Library and the Rectory buildings. Return to the hotel. Day 3: BASILICA - TEOTIHUACAN - MEXICO

After breakfast we will go to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and see the old market of Tlatelolco, continue to the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Sanctuary of the Patroness of Mexicans, where we can admire the genuine mantle of Juan Diego with the Virgin, time to hear mass guaranteed. We will continue the tour to the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, where we will visit the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, as well as other ruins of equal importance, plus a brief explanation on the production of pulque "El Licor Blanco" (traditional drink of pre-Hispanic Mexico) and obsidian handicrafts. Return to the hotel and overnight.    

Day 4: CUERNAVACA - TAXCO

After breakfast we will depart to the Magical Town of Taxco, a small colonial town located at the foot of the slopes of the Sierra Madre del Sur with a unique style of architecture which stands out for its cobblestone streets with white houses with red tile roofs. The iron balconies on the windows are usually overflowing with beautiful hanging flowers. Taxco is also known as the silver producing capital of Mexico so you will find a wide variety of silver items to buy. We will enjoy some free time on the cobblestone streets, visit the cathedral of Santa Prisca and enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Mexican town. Return to Mexico City;

Day 5º: CHOLULA - PUEBLA

After breakfast we will head to the State of Puebla observing on route the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl (Panoramic visit) the archaeological site of Cholula with the largest pyramid in the world according to its base and the Church of Remedios. We continue to the capital of the State with its colonial architecture decorated mostly with tiles, we will see its beautiful Cathedral, the Main Square, the Chapel of the Rosary and the Temple of Santo Domingo. Free time for shopping. Return to Mexico City. Note: (operates Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays)

Day 6: MEXICO CITY - BOGOTÁ

After breakfast, at the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take the flight back home (regardless of the time of transfer to the airport, the room must be vacated by 12:00 noon at the latest, i.e. half a day).
