Camogli, a fishing village on the Riviera di Levante not far from Genoa, has been hosting "Innamorati a Camogli" for 38 years now. Dinner at one of the participating restaurants traditionally includes a gift with the collector's dish dedicated to the event.
On request:
A typical seaside village, essence of the Ligurian tradition, with its colorful houses, stairs and alleys.
Every building, church and detail contains a mix of history, sea and pastel colours.
The colorful facades of the houses accompany you along the entire seaside promenade up to the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, which stands right on the most extreme tip of the town, on what is defined as the ancient medieval island, symbol of Camogli since ancient times.
The small size of the village makes it particularly convenient to explore on foot so as to breathe in all the atmosphere: the promenade along the sea, the marina and the small internal streets not only offer particular views, facades that look like paintings, hidden squares where time seems to have stopped, but also many small characteristic shops where you can discover jewellery, ceramics and typical Ligurian artisan objects.
