This gastronomic journey will immerse you in the delicious culinary tradition of the region, where Segureño lamb becomes the undisputed protagonist. From the lands of Orce to the majesty of Castellar, each stop on this route tells a story of flavor, enchanting landscapes, and the cultural heritage of local cuisine. The start of the route takes place in Orce. Perhaps, the best known town in the Altiplano of Granada, thanks to its paleontological findings. One of the largest concentrations of fossils of Pleistocene fauna in all of Europe has been found. Upon arrival you will have time to rest from the trip and choose the best outfit for tonight. We will invite you to dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the accommodation to enjoy your well-deserved rest.

After a wonderful night you will go down to breakfast because you have to regain strength for the day ahead. Today we set off to discover the treasures of Orce. We start with the visit of El Castillo. Also known as the "Alcazaba of the Seven Towers", it was declared a National Monument in 1973 and is in a magnificent state of preservation. We will continue with a visit to the Palacio de los Segura. It was built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and was retouched in the eighteenth century. It is an extensive building with two floors and a solarium. The wrought iron of the exterior balconies and its interior courtyard stand out, in which six white marble columns support a beautiful wooden gallery in Castilian style. We will finish by visiting The Memory of Time. In Orce "the memory of time" is kept, as in few places. Memory of the earth in the valuable paleontological and prehistoric sites of Venta Micena, Barranco León and Fuente Nueva. Memory of the "first settlers of Europe" in the valuable remains found of the "Orce Man", who coexisted with the large mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, hyenas and hippos, which populated the shores of the great lake that extended in the Altiplano of Granada. INTERPRETATION CENTRES: Orce keeps its extraordinary palaeontological treasures at the Josep Gibert "First Settlers of Europe" Interpretation Centre, a centre that has an excellent sample of fossils of different animals now extinct and also the fossilised vestiges of the presence of hominids of the genus Homo from 1.4 million years ago. In the Archaeological Interpretation Centre of the Cerro de la Virgen de Orce, we find an interesting collection of tools, ceramics, flint and grain mills from the Argaric culture, present – among others – in the nearby site of Cerro de la Virgen. In addition, the Centre has excellent audiovisual material and exhibition panels that explain the dawn of civilisation. We will then invite you to eat at a local restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Orce and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Puebla de Don Fadrique. A good place to visit, for its urban fabric, for its history, for its monuments, for its natural wealth, for its traditions and festivals, for its authenticity in short. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out to dine on one of the typical dishes of the region, in a local restaurant. After a full day, return to the accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Puebla de Dom Fadrique. We start by visiting the Casa de los Patiños. Next, we will visit the Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum. We will end this historical tour in the Church of Santa María de la V Angustia. Then we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a local restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Puebla de Dom Fadrique and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Aýna. Aýna is one of the most suggestive places in Castilla La Mancha, located in the deepest part of the gorge formed by the Mundo River, it is a unique and abrupt natural enclave and one of the most picturesque villages in the area. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out to dine on one of the typical dishes of the region, in a local restaurant. After a full day, return to the accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Have an early breakfast and set off to discover Aýna. We start by visiting the Cueva del Niño. Located on the banks of the Mundo River, between the peaks of Halcón (1232 m.) and Albarda (1254 m.) several kilometers upstream from Royo Odrea, village of Ayna, and very close to the boundary with Bogarra. Its name is due to the neighbors of the nearby hamlets (Los Luisos, El Avellano, Carbabos, San Martín, etc.) who called it the "Cueva de los Niñotes" in reference to the cave paintings of the upper Palaeolithic that it houses. They are listed as the oldest paintings in Castilla La Mancha and declared a World Heritage Site in 1998 by UNESCO. Next, we will do a fantastic  3.5km Hiking Route. A circular walk through Aýna 'Amanece que no es poco'. We will then invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Aýna and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Bogarra. Discover the views offered by the viewpoints, the famous El Batán waterfall and the Starlight Viewpoint, ideal for admiring the starry sky. Immerse yourself in the local culture, taste the gastronomy and enjoy the hospitality. You will arrive at the late afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a bit before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the accommodation.

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Bogarra. We start with a walk in the Batán Waterfall. A natural spectacle that captivates visitors. Located in a wooded environment, its crystal clear waters fall in the form of a waterfall, creating a calm and refreshing atmosphere. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the waterfall invites nature lovers to enjoy breathtaking scenery and immerse themselves in its crystal clear waters. Next, we will do the Route of the Viewpoints. These observation points offer panoramic views of its natural surroundings and historic architecture. In Bogarra you can visit the Mirador de la Variante, the Mirador de la Glorieta and the Mirador de la Iglesia to see Bogarra from different angles. After this adventure in nature we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Bogarra and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Orcera. Picturesque and interesting, a corner where great importance is given to water, its huge river pool or its old laundry room testifies to this. Colorful streets, full of flowers and crowded with pots. You will arrive at the late afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a bit before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant. After a full day I return to the accommodation to rest.

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Orcera. We start with the visit of the Towers of Santa Catalina. They are a set of three fortified towers, from the Muslim period, located on a hill between the Trujala and Orcera rivers. Dated between the end of the twelfth century and the beginning of the thirteenth, at the time of Almohad control over al-Andalus. Possibly, the two twin towers had the function of an optical tower, and the third looks more like part of a rural castle. Next, we will visit the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in the historic center of Orcera. With an exceptional façade, from the Franciscan monastery of the Virgen de la Peña de la Sierra de Segura, and windows of rich carving and careful ornamentation. The factory began in the sixteenth century, it was rebuilt in 1817, after the devastation of Napoleon's troops, and restored in 1939 due to the damage suffered during the Civil War. We will end our tour at the Maritime Province Interpretation Center. In this museum you will find all the information about the Maritime Province from its beginning in 1733 to its end in 1836, an exhibition of tools, clothing, furniture of the time and a structure simulating the ships that were made with wood extracted from our mountains. At the end we will invite you to eat in a typical restaurant before leaving Orcera and continuing to our next Magical Town, Iznatoraf. Narrow streets with the scent of Andalusia, full of flowers. Its wall, its church, gives us reason to think about its enormous legacy, its melting pot of cultures over the centuries, from the Muslims to Christianity. Have an early breakfast and set off to discover Iznatoraf. We start by taking a walk through the Gates and Wall of Iznatoraf. The urban wall of Iznatoraf was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1985. It preserves a large part of its canvases and many of its doors. The Puerta del Arrabal stands out, built in line with the wall. With a semicircular arch. Inside, it houses a relief of the Virgin framed by small pilasters and cornice. Next, we will visit the Clock Tower. It is located presiding over the Plaza de San Fernando. It consists of two bodies, the first is a square body in which the clock is housed and above it an octagonal base body. Finishing off the whole we find a body with bells. We will finish our tour with a small Hiking Route through the Viewpoints. Iznatoraf is the best balcony in the Sierras de las Villas, Cazorla and Segura. Don't miss our two viewpoints and fall in love with the views. At the end we will invite you to eat in a typical restaurant before leaving Iznatoraf and continuing to our next Magical Town, Chiclana de Segura. A town that seems frozen in time, a hidden treasure in the lands of Jaén. Its streets and white houses evoke a sober elegance that transports us to past times. You will arrive at the late afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a bit before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant. Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Chiclana de Segura. We start by visiting the Mirador del Castillo. From this viewpoint, located next to the ruins of the castle, we will get impressive views of four provinces: Ciudad Real, Granada, Albacete and Jaén itself. Next, we will take a walk through the town centre: Located at a great height, embedded in a rock, Chiclana spreads through winding streets, whimsical corners and improvised squares. We will ascend to the Castle through the Panoramic Elevator. This 24-metre lift connects the lower part of the village with the remains of the old medieval fortress. This infrastructure offers the opportunity to access the castle while enjoying a unique perspective of the urban fabric and landscape of the area. We will end our historical tour at the Interpretation Centre of Jorge Manrique, the most important poet of Spanish literature of the second half of the fifteenth century, who lived and wrote in the castle of Chiclana de Segura. The Centre tells us through multiple panels, interactive and audiovisual screens, even in 3D hologram, the facet of Jorge Manrique as a warrior in the context of the internal wars of Castile for his throne, and that of a poet, with the famous Coplas on the death of his father. At the end we will invite you to eat in a typical restaurant before leaving Chiclana de Segura and continuing to the last Magical Town of our route, Castellar. Strolling through its streets, admiring its monuments, visiting its museums and savouring and taking home its gastronomy and local products (especially olive oil) is a luxury that we can afford. Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Castellar. We start by visiting the Iberian Sanctuary. Located on a rocky ledge in what is known as the Altos del Sotillo, it is an emblematic settlement of Iberian archaeology; it is located on an important communication route of antiquity: the Via Heraclea. The central nucleus constituted by the well-known Cueva de la Lobera is noteworthy. It is a shallow shelter that was close to at least two water springs, the Fuente del Caño and the Fuente del Sotillo. Next, we will visit the Museum of Historical Memory of Castellar. The building has three floors of exhibition space. On the first floor, we can take a historical tour from the origins of Castellar to the present day. The second exhibition room is dedicated to the landscape museum. Finally, the third floor is dedicated to the figure of the brilliant local sculptor Constantino Unghetti. We will end our historical tour at the Museum of Iberian Art. Through its two exhibition rooms we can find numerous information about the world of our ancestors the Oretanos, supported by advanced audiovisual means, such as interactive kiosks and projections on the stone and, in turn, be able to contemplate in situ the bronze votive offerings.
