REGULAR TOURS: Sardinia

Arrival at Olbia airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time. At 6:00 pm meeting with the tour leader at the reception.

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we will spend the day in the Maddalena Archipelago, a National Park made up of 7 large islands and 20 islets. During the tour you can enjoy the white sandy beaches, exotic Mediterranean vegetation, rocky coasts and, above all, the surprising and intense emerald colour of the sea. The archipelago, in particular the island of Caprera, is also famous for having been the home and safe harbour of Giuseppe Garibaldi who decided to spend the last 26 years of his life and it is here that he died. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Castelsardo, a charming medieval village overlooking the centre of the Gulf of Asinara. The old town of the Castle, built on the top of the Castelsardo promontory, which dominates the inlet from above, today houses the Museum of the “Intreccio Mediterraneo”, one of the most famous museums in Sardinia. From the terraces that extend along the wall you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of a large part of the northern coast and the island of Asinara. Finally, transfer to the hotel and free time.

Optional excursion: Neptune's Caves, a jewel of nature.

Visiting the Neptune Caves in Alghero is one of those things that should be done at least once in a lifetime, as they are considered the most famous in Sardinia, so it is always recommended to go and see them with our own eyes to admire their beauty.

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of Alghero, the town with the original Catalan Gothic architecture from the period when Sardinia was under Spanish rule. Today it is still called “la Barceloneta” (little Barcelona) by the Catalans, for its lively and romantic atmosphere reminiscent of the Spanish city. Departure for Bosa, a charming town where tradition and modernity merge and infuse curiosity and charisma, with its historic district of sa Costa, made up of colorful houses climbing the slopes of the Serravalle hill, dominated by the Malaspina castle. During the stop, lunch with typical local dishes. In the afternoon transfer to the hotel in Cagliari.

After breakfast, visit Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia and an example of Mediterranean atmosphere. Cagliari, the main and most populated city on the island, preserves in its four historic districts millenary events that go from prehistory to the reign of the House of Savoy. Return to the hotel and free time. In the evening, dinner with typical Sardinian dishes.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport/station. End of services.
