Charms of the Portuguese Coast: Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will be greeted by our representative, who will be our driver and guide throughout the trip. From the meeting point, we will go to our accommodation, where we will check-in and have a first contact with the Lisbon atmosphere.

In the evening, we will take a first walk through the historic Alfama District, a labyrinth of narrow streets and houses adorned with tiles. We will go up to the Mirador de Santa Luzia, where the panoramic view of the Tagus and the red roofs of the city will give us a spectacular view. We will walk to the Castle of St. George, which towers over the city with its medieval history and imposing walls. (1h 30min)

Afterwards, we will let ourselves be carried away by the nightlife of Bairro Alto, exploring its streets full of small bars and restaurants where the essence of Lisbon comes to life. We will return to our accommodation, where a dinner with Portuguese flavors awaits us in a cozy atmosphere. Tonight, Lisbon will envelop us in its magic, with its light reflecting off the hills and the echo of fado echoing in the air.

We will wake up with a delicious breakfast in our accommodation before leaving for Sintra, a place where romance is breathed in every corner.

Our first stop will be the National Palace of Sintra, with its iconic conical chimneys and fascinating mix of architectural styles. We will get lost among its royal halls and courtyards decorated with Mudejar tiles. (1h 30min)

We will continue exploring the gardens and hidden corners of the Quinta da Regaleira Park, where we will discover the enigmatic Initiatory Well, a spiral tunnel shrouded in mystery and Masonic symbolism. (1h 30min)

We will have lunch in a restaurant in Sintra, where we will be able to taste local specialties such as travesseira, an irresistible typical sweet. (direct payment, 1h 30min)

In the afternoon, we will ascend to the colorful Pena Palace, an authentic fairytale castle that stands above the mountains, surrounded by lush gardens and views that will take our breath away. We will get lost among its Manueline and romantic inspired rooms, discovering the history of the Portuguese monarchy. (2h)

When the sun begins to go down, we will travel to Cascais (40 min drive), where we will check-in at our accommodation. Dinner will await us in a relaxed atmosphere, with the sound of the sea as a backdrop. Tonight, the coastal spirit of Cascais will envelop us in its serenity.

We will start the morning with a breakfast by the sea, enjoying the freshness of the Atlantic breeze.

We will explore the charming historic center of Cascais, where its cobbled streets will lead us to the Citadel of Cascais, a fortress that protected the coast in times past. From there, we will walk to the emblematic Boca do Inferno, a cliff where the waves of the Atlantic hit hard, creating an impressive natural spectacle. (1h 30min)

Lunch will be at a local restaurant overlooking the sea, where we can savor the fresh seafood that makes this region famous. (direct payment, 1h 30min)

In the afternoon, we will move to Estoril, the cradle of Portuguese glamour. We will walk along its promenade to the Casino de Estoril, a place with a fascinating history, known for having been the inspiration for Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. We will get lost in its gardens and admire the sophistication of this town. (1h 30min)

Finally, we will start our return to Lisbon (40 min drive), where we will say goodbye to this unforgettable journey. With the echo of the waves, the reflection of the palaces and the essence of Portugal engraved in our memory, we will put an end to this journey full of history, beauty and unforgettable moments.
