Arganda del Rey Spain

27 kilometers from the capital in a southeasterly direction, within the region that linkes the so-called Alcarria of Madrid with the jarama river, arganda del Rey is located. History, tradition, nature and modernity merge into today's Arganda. The origin of his name is unknown, but it could well derive from his Arab past, while his official surname was added in the second half of the sixteenth century when King Philip II granted him the title of Villa de Realengo.
