We will visit the Reggia di Portici, a summer residence built in 1738 by Charles of Bourbon and Amalia of Saxony. Built on the slopes of Vesuvius has an upper forest used by the King for hunting, and a lower one more ornamental that reaches the sea. The Royal Palace houses the Botanical Garden and the Herculanense Museum, where, thanks to modern technologies, the cultural climate of the court in the period of the archaeological findings of Herculaneum; the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum, started by chance at the beginning of the eighteenth century and whose systematic development was due to Amedeo Maiuri in the last century; finally the Villa Campolieto, one of the best restored among the Vesuvian Villas.

Day 1

In the morning arrival at the hotel. Room assignment. In the afternoon there is a guided tour of the Royal Palace of Portici: the monumental staircase, the exedra, the hall of the guards, the upper park. Then visit the Botanical Garden and the Herculanense Museum. Dinner in a restaurant on the Port of Granatello. Overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of the excavations of Herculaneum. The discovery happened by chance in 1709 following the construction of a well. The excavations have followed at intervals over the centuries and it can be said that after 300 years are not completely finished, hindered by the development of the modern city on the areas of the Roman. Free afternoon. Free dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Golden Mile in the morning. Visit of the Bourbon masterpiece by Gioffredo and Vanvitelli: it presents a quadrangular plan with a central gallery with a Greek cross. Today it is home to cultural events such as the Festival of the Vesuvian Villas. Free lunch, return to the hotel and check-out. End of services.
